Hmm, I'm grumpy today.
A pet peeve of mine - somewhat obscure songs I love getting blown into mainstream. Then the whole teenage population of Singapore starts singing along to and spoiling these songs. Songs like All Around Me by Flyleaf - heck, it was released years ago but it just got popular airplay here and now everyone's ripping off the lyrics to put on their msn nicks. The song feels so commercialized to me now, it hardly holds meaning for me. I hardly play it on my Ipod now. Oh, and now, it would be Monsoon by Tokio Hotel. I mean, I guess I knew it was only a matter of time before 987 got wind of Europe's hottest rock band. But still, I'm gonna hurl if everyone starts learning German too or putting on Bill-Kaulitz-inspired eye makeup. Yep, I relished being one of like only 100 - or maybe even less - hardcore Tokio Hotel fans in the whole island.
I don't know why. But I just detest mainstream. But hopefully if TH make it big in Asia, they'll finally come for some concerts. Then I suppose I could deal with it. Oh, oh, and hopefully they'll start importing CDs. I've been looking for them in all the cd shops for about a year but they don't stock them here, English or German alike, except for the Zimmer 483 Live Concert. Don't get me wrong, the band sounds great. It's just the annoying, ear-splitting screaming of the fans.
I'm going to think of places I can go to, to escape from the ever constant presence of Mom-and-Dad. They stifle me with their nagging, scolding and attempts to fatten me up. For heaven's sake, why can't they just let me be?
i thought the world of you
